<p>First, it is necessary to explain what kind of platforms and devices exist. The most popular mobile operating systems are Android, iOS and for desktop/laptop it is Windows 10/11 and macOS.</p>

<h2>Sharing apps with your family</h2>

<p>With your Google Account, you can create a Family group and become the manager of that group, inviting up to 5 members. Google Play's Family Library feature allows you to share paid apps, games, movies, TV shows, and books from Google Play with up to five family members. The shared content can be accessed by all family members across their devices.</p>

<p>If you aren't part of a Family group, you must create one first.</p>

<li>Tap Family Sharing, then tap Set Up Your Family</li>

<li>Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your family and invite your family members</li>

<li>Choose Apple menu  > System Settings > click your name (Apple ID) > Family Sharing</li>
<li>After you click your Apple ID, Family Sharing is listed beneath Media &#x26; Purchases.</li>
<li>Click Set up Family (lower corner)</li>
<li>Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your family and invite your family members.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Mac with macOS Monterey or earlier</strong>  </p>
<ul>
<li>Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences > Family Sharing</li>
<li>Confirm the Apple ID that you want to use for Family Sharing, and make sure that Share My Purchases is selected.</li>
<li>Follow the onscreen instructions.</li>
</ul>

<h4>2. Turn on purchase sharing</h4>

<li>Tap Family (if you don't see Family, tap your name, then Family Sharing).</li>
<li>Tap Purchase Sharing > Continue</li>
<li>Follow the onscreen instructions.</li>

<ul>
<li>Choose Apple menu  > System Settings > Family</li>
<li>Click Purchase Sharing > your name > turn on Share My Purchases</li>

<li>Choose Apple menu   > System Preferences > Family Sharing > Purchase Sharing (in the sidebar)</li>
<li>Click Set Up Purchase Sharing and follow the onscreen instructions.</li>

<h4>3. Download apps and content that your family members purchased</h4>

<li>Open the App Store, tap your profile picture ( at the top of the screen), then tap Purchased.</li>
<li>Tap your family member's name to see their content. </li>
<li>To download an item, tap the Download button next to it.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Mac</strong></p>

<li>Open the App Store, click your name (bottom corner). If you don't see your name, click the Sign In button , then click your name.</li>
<li>To see a family member's content, click your name next to Purchased by. Then choose a family member's name from the list that appears.</li>

<h2>Shared account</h2>
<p>In case the Family Sharing is not working there is one option more. You can temporarily set your Google / Apple account on the family member device, download the app and set back the original account. The downside of this solution is, that you have enter the password the account that purchased the app whenever app updates.</p>
<p>On the Android platform you can use more Google accounts permanently, but be carefull with this – the device will have access not only to the app, but also to your contacts, emails etc.</p>
